Matchday Experience Information
Meeting - We'll arrange the most convenient meeting point for each game, to meet the guides and the rest of the group. Your bilingual guides will explain the context of Argentine football, the day’s game and the club's history. More importantly, they’ll let you know exactly what you need to do and be aware of to enjoy the day as a local fan.
The Build-Up - From there, depending on the day, we’ll head to a local bar and mingle with the fans, continuing on through the pre-match party in the streets of La Boca, Avellaneda, Parque Patricios
With Pibe you'll enjoy the most unique pre-match Previa possible: special access at Huracán, and a drum session with the Independiente fans (or in the thick of it with the Barras at Vélez).
And of course the big one - soaking up the Superclásico atmosphere. Chants of Dale Bo and hoy tenemos que ganar, practicing the correct wrist-flick for our agite, a beer in one hand and a choripán in the other, the perfect preparation for a day in the Bombonera. It will be extreme.
Your guide will accompany you in reduced groups (7-9 pax.) to the correct entrance gate, through the ground to behold the welcoming recibimientos, an astonishing sight that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
The match - Boca
Through the turnstiles and up the stairs - you’ll see first hand the famous saying: La Bombonera no tiembla, late, “The Bombnera doesn’t shake, it beats 💓”. Onto the terrace (Popular) behind the goals with the diehard fans to witness the sea of blue and gold, the confetti and fireworks, the trumpets and drums providing the soundtrack for match-day at this famous old ground.
Your guide will keep the group together, and find a good spot among the fans, explaining the songs and describing the stadium’s intricacies.
The Match - Independiente
Leaving the instrumental session on the street, we'll head into the Libertadores de América, cornered by the 4 distinctive Gargantas del Diablo ("devil's throats" towers). The Barra del Rojo are present behind both goals, fairlt unique for Argentina and adding to the noise in this cauldron of a stadium.
The Match - Huracán
We'll leave the members only clubhouse and head to the most beautiful stadium of all, the famous Ducó "palace". Inside marvel at the marble walls, and art-deco design. Sitting down in the old moulded cement seats and arm-rests, look across to the famous pillar with Ringo Bonavena sitting perpetually below. The Banda de la Quema are lifting the volume, the balloons are flying and the Palace is on fire...
The Come-Down - What goes up must come down. The inevitable adrenaline crash after the ecstasy, streaming out of the exits and back to reality. Some chase the dragon in a local bar, some head to a steakhouse to savour the moment, others straight to bed to dream on…
You’ll head back to a secure spot and your guide will assist in pointing you in the right direction to get back home safely. Other games we will return to a central location also.

Important to know
-
For some clubs, tickets are very hard to come by and are available exclusively to members, sponsors, or can only be found through various levels of re-sale. For others, tickets are available but can only be bought in-person, with local ID/bank cards, or through various other inventive ways of wasting your time. We will make sure to find tickets for you and guarantee their authenticity.
-
The access to the stadium is filled with different controls and security checks in which police and fans get mixed up, sometimes creating tension. Our expert guides have navigated these sites dozens of times, know the ins and outs, and can anticipate and handle these situations so you don’t have to.
-
Many football fans in Argentina are not used to seeing tourists and barely speak English. In a way, this is what makes our experience truly authentic, and we will help with Spanish so no language barriers affect your match-day.
-
Many supporters will appreciate it if you show your support through your clothing, by wearing the club's merchandise like a shirt, beanie, jacket, etc. Dressing with the club colours will be fine, but if you want a jersey make sure to take a look at our store.
-
Football in Argentina is an amazing subculture. Our expert guide will let you know everything you need about the context of the game, the history of the clubs, the traditional pre-game rituals, the meaning of the songs you will hear, the significance of the flags and symbols, and more.

The chaos and unpredictability in Argentine football are what makes it uniquely beautiful, and uniquely frustrating. The League often decides fixtures at the last moment, and changes can happen late on also. If this is the case, we will let you know in advance for you to make a decision according to your availability.
