Sao Paulo
Where we'll meet - Our group will meet near the Morumbi neighborhood or a central, secure spot like a nearby metro station. Your bilingual guides will explain the context of Brazilian football, the day’s game, and São Paulo’s illustrious history. More importantly, they’ll let you know exactly what you need to do and be aware of to be one of the lucky few to gain entry into the magnificent Estádio do Morumbi.
The Build-Up - São Paulo’s stadium is a monumental structure located in the more affluent Morumbi district, but the energy of a match-day spills out into the surrounding streets. We’ll grab a sandwhich and an ice-cold beer or soft drink at a street vendor or stop by at a bustling boteco, mingling with São Paulo fans and learning their traditions, especially how to do the correct rhythm and clap for the "Vamos São Paulo" chant. Your guide will accompany you in reduced groups (6-8 pax) to the correct entrance gate, through the squeeze of security controls and turnstiles, and finally into the ground.
The match - Through the turnstiles and up the ramps - the Cícero Pompeu de Toledo Stadium (Morumbi) is a piece of history by itself. It's a true concrete amphitheater built for champions. When you see it, you’ll understand the sense of belonging of São Paulo fans to this hallowed ground. In the terraces, you’ll hear the famous chants of the Torcida Independente and Dragões da Real, the red, black, and white colors mixing with the city's electric night sky. Your guide will keep the group together and let you know everything about the Tricolor's rich history, including their multiple international titles.
The Come-Down - The inevitable adrenaline crash after the ecstasy, streaming out of the exits and away from the Morumbi. You’ll head back to a secure spot like a major avenue or a metro connection and your guide will assist in pointing you in the right direction to get back home safely. Don’t be surprised if you walk home humming the legendary "Hino do São Paulo" earworm.
Palmeiras
Where we'll meet - Our group will meet near the Palmeiras-Barra Funda station or in the nearby, easily accessible Pompeia or Perdizes neighborhoods. Your bilingual guides will explain the context of Brazilian football, the day’s game, and Palmeiras's glorious history, from Palestra Italia to the modern era. More importantly, they’ll let you know exactly what you need to do and be aware of to be one of the lucky few to gain entry into the colossal Allianz Parque.
The Build-Up - Palmeiras’s arena stands on the same sacred ground as the old Palestra Itália stadium. The area is vibrant and well-connected. We’ll grab a classic espetinho (skewer) and an ice-cold cerveja at one of the lively street bars on Rua Palestra Itália, mingling with Palmeiras fans and learning their traditions, especially the correct wrist-flick and pace for the "Eu Sou Palmeiras Sim Senhor" chant. Your guide will accompany you in reduced groups (6-8 pax) to the correct entrance gate, through the squeeze of security controls, and finally into the ground.
The match - Through the turnstiles and up the futuristic ramps - the Allianz Parque is a modern fortress built on history. It’s an amphitheater designed for noise, where the fans on the Curva (North Goal) create an intimidating atmosphere. In the stands, you’ll hear the thunderous chants of the Mancha Verde, the green and white flags waving fiercely as the passionate crowd shouts "Torcida que Canta e Vibra" (The Crowd that Sings and Vibrates). Your guide will keep the group together and let you know everything about the Verdão's rich history, including their multiple national championships and Copa Libertadores titles.
The Come-Down - The inevitable adrenaline crash after the ecstasy, streaming out of the exits and into the surrounding streets. You’ll head back to a secure transit spot and your guide will assist in pointing you in the right direction to get back home safely. Don’t be surprised if you walk home humming an earworm song about the Porco (Pig, the team's affectionate nickname).
Corinthians
Where we'll meet - Our group will meet at the highly accessible Corinthians-Itaquera Metro Station or a secure, designated area in the nearby neighborhood. The Build-Up - Corinthians's modern stadium is a point of pride that brought new life to the Itaquera neighborhood, located in São Paulo’s East Zone. The immediate surroundings of the stadium become a vibrant sea of black and white on match-days.
