Diego Armando Maradona - Arguably the world's best ever footballer, undoubtedly the most influential. El Pelusa was a hero to all Argentinians but especially to the people of his native Buenos Aires.
Join us as we visit some important sites that marked different moment's in the life of El Diez, and see the legacy he has left the city, the people and football itself.

Footballing Mecca, fútbol paradise, Buenos Aires is heaven for any fan of the beautiful game.
With 18 stadiums in the city alone and over 60 in the Greater BA area, there's no doubt why it's number one on the list for groundhoppers. The city and its football culture are intertwined with the story of Maradona.

Where we’ll meet - We’ll meet in the centre, close to the Obelisco/Teatro Colón - full details provided upon reservation.

Your bilingual guides will greet you and accompany you throughout the day, keeping you safe and providing context to all the sites we'll visit, along with any necessary translation!

Potential Route:
10:00 Collection at one of Buenos Aires' bespoke fútbol shops, full of soccer shirts and Diego related merchandise - group discount. From there we're on the road - passing the enormous Maradona mural on our way, the world's biggest for the world's greatest.

11:00 Maradona's birthplace in Villa Fiorito - see the humble neighbourhood where El Pibe de Oro was born and honed his supreme football skills in the local potrero.

11:30 Visit Bendito10, the workshop of Maradona super-fan and artist Marcelo who has a piece hanging in the AFA headquarters, and also the biggest collection of Panini stickers in Argentina - a prime example of the passion for fútbol on display in Buenos Aires.

12:30 Check out the Estadio Amalfitani, home of Vélez Sarsfield and its surroundings, including the murals to José Luis Chilavert, the famous Paraguayan goal-scoring goalkeeper. Then have a parrilla lunch in one of Buenos Aires' best-kept secrets.

15:00 A quick stop by Diego Maradona corner at Habana and Segurola, the location of El Diez's penthouse when he returned to Boca Juniors in the '90s, and potential location of post-game scraps with his opponents...

15:30 We'll pass by the Estadio Islas Malvinas, named after the disputed islands in the South Atlantic - the armed conflict with the UK in 1982 is remembered prominently around most stadiums in Argentina, and was an extra motivation for the Barrilete Cósmico and the 1986 champions, who beat England on their way to claiming the World Cup.

16:00 Further down Av. Álvarez Jonte toward the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona, home of Argentinos Juniors in La Paternal. There we'll visit the Casa de D10s museum, Dieguito's first house that was given to him by the club upon signing with them as a teenager.

17:30 Finishing up at Futbolitis art gallery with a constant rotation of displays and collector's items inspired by the beautiful game and in large part the Maradona himself.
Alternatives: The Boca or River stadium Museums, entry not included
