Job Title: Football Matchday Tour Guide
Location: Argentina (Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Rosario, Córdoba, La Plata)
Job Type: Freelance per event, Seasonal, Weekends and evenings/nights
Responsibilities
- 1. Conduct guided tours to football matches in Argentina, including pre-match activities in various stadium neighbourhoods.
- 2. Highlight key aspects of the Argentine football context and culture, and explain relevant information about specific teams and stadiums such as history, traditions and rivalries.
- 3. Assist guests with communication and logistics in advance of the meeting time to guarantee information is made available and a successful matchday plan is executed.
- 4. Ensure the safety and satisfaction of tour participants throughout the duration of the experience.
- 5. Provide attention to each guest and ensure a satisfying and fun experience for everyone, encouraging interaction and participation from tour guests.
- 6. Guarantee successful entry to stadiums and ensure guests leave and arrive home without issues, handling any inquiries or concerns from tour participants with professionalism and efficiency.
- 7. Give consistent and clear feedback to the Pibe team and Local Coordinator.
- 8. Have the ability to stick to a defined plan with good timekeeping, while also showing the ability to adapt when needed.
- 9. Stay up-to-date with current events and fixtures in the Argentine football scene to provide relevant and timely information to guests.
Requirements
- 1. Passion for football and a deep understanding of Argentine football culture.
- 2. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and captivate an audience.
- 3. Fluency in both English and Spanish, with additional language proficiency considered a plus.
- 4. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- 5. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate match schedules.
- 6. Prior experience in tourism, hospitality, or guiding roles preferred but not required.
- 7. Knowledge of basic software tools (Google spreadsheets, messaging apps).
- 8. Must be comfortable leading groups of diverse individuals and managing varying group sizes. Ideally has an interest in people, travelling and exploring global culture.
