Huracán are the ultimate throwback club, their excellent name and even better crest/badge are an homage to Jorge Newbery's hot-air balloon voyage across 3 countries.

Known as the 6th Grande, they had more titles and years in the top flight when the 5 Grandes (Big 5) were decided in 1934, but were left out of the elite controlling group as they didn't have enough up-to-date paying members. They have suffered since in terms of success but make up for it with their genuine and passionate fanbase. El Globo (the balloon) were one of the most successful clubs in early years, and are cup-specialists - most recently winning the Argentine Cup in 2014.

Their stadium, known as the Palacio (Palace), is a beautiful old art-deco structure, and was the stage for the most famous scene in the Oscar-winning El Secreto de sus Ojos. It is built upon what was once a burnyard for rubbish, giving rise to another nickname - Los Quemeros (the burners). The Ducó possesses an incredible charm which transports you back in time to the ‘50s. While appreciating the enchanting beauty, you may spot a figure in the Houseman stand below the pillar - a statue to famous Argentine boxer Ringo Bonavena who had popular bouts with Muhammad Ali among others.
