NOTE: This is an example itinerary - the final itinerary will be confirmed when the match times are confirmed by the league (expected early April)!!

You probably know Argentinian football can be a bit chaotic (that’s why we love it!), so the final plan will be defined a couple of weeks in advance when fixtures are confirmed, but it will look very like the following:

• Day 1: Arrive in Buenos Aires Friday morning - check-in, eat some porteño pizza, and catch a lower-league game: historical BA clubs Ferro Carril Oeste and Atlanta are nice central options.

• Day 2: Raise the stakes on Saturday with a Primera game in the top division. Subject to the fixture availability, we'll head to the beautiful old Ducó "Palace" for an Huracán match, or to the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona for an Argentinos Juniors game.
  In both cases there's a special surprise organised by Pibe - we'll walk on to the playing surface after the game to get an unforgettable photo.

• Day 3: Sunday has arrived, and it's time for the famous Boca Juniors at the Bombonera. We'll soak up the atmosphere in the streets of La Boca before heading in early to the world's most famous stadium - a match you will never forget!

• Day 4: Enjoy our Pibe Day (included) around the city and uncover the passion of the world's football capital. This was a favourite of our travellers last year, we'll visit a stadium in the Ascenso lower divisions to understand up close how engrained football is in the local communities. 
  
  From there we'll keep the beat going at 7 Octavos percussion workshop, the favoured provider of all the fan groups in Argentina and beyond. We'll learn to play drums and get a close-up view of the how the instruments are made.
  Next up we'll stop by a hidden gem for a mighty feed or the best Argentine cuts at a famous Parrilla (steakhouse).
  
  And finishing up we'll head to BA Aerografía flag-painting workshop, who have been making flags and banners for the Barra Bravas for years. Their work is seen at every ground in Argentina and across the world due to the huge reputation they've built. We'll hear the stories from owner Pepe and enjoy his small museum, and also practice our artistic skills trying out the painting technique ourselves.
  
  

• Days 5-7*: for the diehards - hit a lower league game in one of over 50 clubs in greater Buenos Aires. Chacarita Juniors, Nueva Chicago and Almagro all offer intense atmospheres a little off the beaten track.
  
  The Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana group stage will also be in full flow - with lost of Buenos Aires representation this year, there'll definitely be a big game to attend.
  
  Or take a break from the football and hit a tango show, have a campo day in the countryside like an Argentinian gaucho; or enjoy the day on the water up in the Tigre delta.

• Day 8/9: Back to the league fixtures and we'll either head to the current league champions Vélez Sarsfield vs Gimnasia y Esgrima (LP) at the Fortín (Amalfitani stadium), or to the Fortaleza (Estadio Ciudad de Lanús) to see Lanús vs San Martín (SJ) - both of these "fortresses" have really passionate local fans, the real deal.

• Day 10: We're going out in style - finishing up with, and it's the big one: River vs Boca. We'll hit the streets of Núñez where the party will start bright and early in expectation of this momentous game. A Superclásico in the Monumental is a golden ticket to say the least and you'll be one of the lucky few witnessing what many only dream of. Latin America's biggest stadium will explode with over 80,000 River fans. 

• Day 11: to the airport and home  - ready to plan your next trip!

1. This trip requires a minimum of 4 travellers to take place. The deposit will be refunded if the trip is cancelled. (Or it can be applied to another date).

2. The proposed itinerary is subject to change!! - fixture times are confirmed very late in Argentina and many other factors can also affect scheduling - the priority of Pibe de Barrio will be to make sure the group attends the Superclásico derby. We can’t confirm 100% in advance which teams we will see.

3. Facing unexpected cancellations, internal travel issues, any games missed will be replaced by games of an equal value.

4. A 35% deposit should be made to reserve your place, the remaining 65% shall be paid 1 month before the travel dates - via online payment or bank transfer.

5. Once the full amount is paid, no refunds can be processed. In exceptional circumstances a partial refund may apply at Pibe de Barrio’s discretion.

6. A surcharge will apply for travellers requiring a single room in the accommodations - to be defined based on the final hotel selection, but we expect around €300.

7. Argentinian stadiums and their surroundings are oftentimes not very accessible and therefore unfortunately this may exclude travellers with limited mobility - through no fault of Pibe de Barrio.

8. Similarly we cannot accept children on the trips.

• When will the Superclásico be?
  The River vs Boca derby will be played April 2026. Usually the superclásico is played on Sunday, but we need to wait for  confirmation from the league in early April to set the correct date.

• What languages will be spoken?
  All of our guides are fluent in English and Spanish. Official match info and communications such as WhatsApp groups will be in English.

• What teams/stadiums will we go to? Will I see Boca at the Bombonera?
  The plan is to see River Plate vs Boca at the Monumental, that will be the number 1 priority.
  By covering 2 full weekends, we should be able to watch all of the Buenos Aires teams play home. Pibe de Barrio will plan the trip based on our experience and knowledge of the Argentinian football scene for our guests to have the best experience and catch the most exciting games during their stay.

• From what leagues are the matches?
  We will attend at least 4 First Division (Copa de la Liga Profesional) games.
  There will be an option to attend lower league games also, and in some cases, together with the guests we may replace a game for another important match.
  

• When will the fixtures be out?
  The fixture times are usually only released 1-3 weeks before the games are played. We cannot know with certainty the exact dates and times of games. As soon as this information is published, Pibe de Barrio will reach out to you.

• What is the pre-game experience?
  Football in Argentina is much more than going to see a match. The pre-game is a vital and necessary item of the whole matchday experience. Fans will usually gather 4 to 5 hours before the kick-off and enjoy a choripán in a street-made asado, a couple of beers or fernet with friends and family, typically listening to cumbia and cheering for their team. Matchdays are celebration days.

• Will I share a hotel room?
  Hotel rooms are booked on a 2-people basis. If you want a single room let us know, a surcharge will apply. If you are a group of 3 you can choose whether to sleep together in the same room (a discount will apply in certain cases) or have the extra person share a room with someone else.

• Who will the expert coordinators be? Why are they needed?
  Our Trip coordinators are bilingual and have visited countless stadiums in Argentina, learning the tricks of the trade and accumulating experience to help resolve the inevitable issues that arise.
  They will be in charge of the trip’s logistics and itinerary, sorting out the tickets, organising the best pre-game experiences and giving you all the local tips and advices for the trip to be unforgettable.

• Is it safe?
  Your coordinator guides will explain thoroughly the do's and do not's in Argentina and in matchday situations. We will stick together as a group and your coordinator guides are locals who speak the language and have vast experience on football travel. They will guide you and will let you know when to take care of your belongings to avoid pick-pockets and unwanted situations, having always safety as a number one priority when making decisions.

• What happens if I need to cancel?
  If you need to cancel, your deposit can be used in the next version of the trip. Once the full amount is paid, refunds are no longer possible. 

• Are Flights Included?
  No, you should organise your own flights to arrive on the morning of Friday and leaving on Monday, 10 days later. When the match weeks are confirmed we will advise guests to book their flights.
